SNO and Baph and I were all in the CTSTN_TM (Car That Shrinks To Nothing_TM) and SNO was driving. We we in a hurry to get... somewhere... so we were taking a shortcut that I knew of. (interesting side note:I actually DO know this shortcut because I've taken it twice before in my dreams but it doesn't exist IRL) it was kind of dark and wooded and there was so much pine straw that SNO was having difficulty knowing where the path was. I had to keep using the flashlight to show him. By the time we were walking, there were trucks behind us and SNO had regressed to toddler age. We were still supposed to be following him but of course we could walk faster than he could. Baph especially kept getting ahead of us. There was snow on the ground and we were now dressed for winter. But the trucks would come up behind us, pass us and blast on down the road. It ws kind of scary. Of course we get to a clearing, and the exit path is diagonally across from us and we hear another truck coming. There's no sidewalks so we're trying to make it across before the truck comes and mows us down. We all make it, almost, when SNO slips on the snow and falls down. Apparently he ws carrying several Motorola cell phones in his jacket and one broke so there was a bunch of glass shards in his jacket. He didn't seem too upset (although we were!) I made him stop so I could fish out the glass. I got cut a fwe times but got it all out. SNO was joking around the whole time. The truck was coming so we tried to flatten ourselves against the walls to let it pass safely. It passed finally but SNO was knocked down again. Again, he had broken the Motorola cell phone and had glass shards in his jacket. Again, I was fishing them out, except this time, I started with the shards and ended up fishing glass objects out of his jacket. These I would hand to Baph and he would say "smash it" and throw it on the ground. Baph was angry because the glass had hurt SNO and wanted to smash every piece of glass but as I kept putting my hand down the back of SNO's jacket, I began to pull up more and more interesting peices. Each time, though, Baph would say "smash it" and throw it down. Finally, one piece caught my eye and I felt it was pretty and thought it might be an heirloom or something and I stopped from handing it to him. "Smash it" said Baph but I said "maybe it's nice" and held it up. Actually, it wasn't nice. It was kind of stupid and I felt a bit foolish that I was wrong. But Baph took it from me and held it up to the light. It was shaped like a charicature mouse and it was not clear glass but purple. I thought "well maybe we could put it on the christmas tree.. it might not look so bad there" so Baph held it up to our christmas tree which had mostly glass ornaments and I could see that it was too stupid and ugly to fit in there. So he turned to a group of shelves on the other side that went up like a wooden christmas tree (a tree made of shelves) and held the ornament underneath one of them. THe ornament then lit like a lighter and the flame went above, all around the ornament above it, lighting it like a candle. It was a pretty neat effect and I was impressed. Baph then proceeded to light all the ornaments on the tree of shelves and I was charmed. "is it close to christmas already?" I thought, still charmed by the trick ornament. I wasn't sure our tree should be up already and tried to remember what the date was. I thought it wasn't such a good idea to have ornaments on our tree that light up with fire. But the glass mouse-thing was pretty cool to watch.
