so, here I am... on my day off.... awake.

This is because my darling better half couldn't find a work shirt this morning and so woke me up to ask me if I knew where one was.

So.... a few days ago we talk about finances.
We decided that I will be in charge of the money and bills and savings because my darling better half really hates dealing with it. Petty details and watching your hard-earned cash get forked over to someone else. Can't say as I blame him but I'm heartlessly used to it after all these years.

So... the other night I hear my darling better half saying "because YOU are the socially-aggressive person between us!" and I know he is right. I usually run our social calendar.

So... a few days ago, we are talking on the phone and he says "Oh just make the check out for me"
I say, "you gonna sign it tonight?"
"no," he says "you just sign it for me"
"But I'm not on your account" I say stupidly
"no, just sign my name" he says, "you know what my signature looks like? hell it doesn't even really matter anyway"
"but," I protest, "I'm not in the habit of forging checks! Well except when I was a teenager and did a few on my parents account to buy a pizza I think" but I shut up about then because....

I used to sign my husband's checks all the time. He was on the road a lot and we just fell into the habit. Then it hits me later.

Shit, we're already married.
