I cruised Amazon dot com and discovered that I have several hundred dollars worth of Harlan Ellison books on my shelf. Funny.... I only want to read them, could care less about their collector's value. So, if I spend a little now to replace everything valuable, then I could sell the stuff and still have readable copies. Hard to believe all those trips to the used bookstore would actually bring me money in the end instead of just more wonderful reading material.
