I think it works because it just plain burns its way through everything: bacteria, fungii, blood vessels, membranes, skin, etc
Mostly, it hurt in my throat when it started dripping back. Blowing it back out was no picnic either but having it sizzle past my tonsils was almost more than I could bear. But I gotta tell ya, my throat feels 80% better than it did this morning!
