weirdest, neatest dream in a while
Jan. 2nd, 2005 02:48 pm I dreamed I was interviewing for a job, working for God. I knew it was God but I wasn't supposed to know. She was very nice, looked a lot like me; same height, same hair (in the dream - we didn't have blue hair in the dream, more browned streaked with grey and it was kinda frizzy, cut in a wedge style) but she also looked like a hobbit. She was just adorable. On my interview paper, she wrote "I like the peas. I like the rice" which meant that she liked me and wanted to hire me. I met the other two women working for her and we all really liked each other. We pretended we didn't know we were working for God. Then we were going to work (something else happened involving bedding down with wet hair in a run-down shack and something about a wire trash can but I don't remember what) and we knew that going to work meant having to face obstacles in order to get inside. We were climbing a rickety ladder to get in through the roof. This guy was going to go first and then pull us up. I was highest on the ladder and he was reaching up onto the roof. I held the ladder between my legs (like riding a horse) and gripped the roof with my teeth. The roof started to fall away and I was thinking "we aren't going to make it, we aren't going to make it" but I noticed that the roof supports were built with knives; lashed together in an intricate fashion, I thought it was rather ingenious but I was afraid the roof would fall away and I'd be sliced by the knives before we got in. THen the guy flipped himself over and made it up just in time to grab me and the other woman.
Then we were trying to get into work through the outer wall and I realized the wall was made with barbed wire on the inside and razor blades around the opening. I was thinking "we aren't going to make it, we aren't going to make it" but we made it.
We were so pleased each time we got in. At some point, someone said something about working for God and we were nervous but they said "oh c'mon, of course we all know... do you think she doesn't know that?" and we realized they were right.
