Suggestions needed

anyone have any ideas as to how I can get my hands (legally) on $6500? My credit isn't quite good enough to apply for a loan. My parents already shelled out their extra money on paying the lawyer. I can save the money, but I kinda need it sooner than it would take to save it up. I'm serious here.

I wish I knew! When I needed a new furnace my sister offered to put up the 4K+ it cost. Otherwise we'd have frozen this winter! Would someone with better credit co-sign a loan with you, or is your car pawnable for any decent amount? Or you could scrape together your change and buy a lottery ticket!

You could try entering a bunch of sweepstakes... There are tons out there that are giving away sums around $10K. www.online-sweepstakes.com.

As far as more predictable ways to get that kind of money... I'm always racking my brain on that one, and I don't have any good ideas to offer.

You know, though, your credit might not be as bad as you think. I thought mine was too low for a loan, but, upon talking with a broker, she was able to find a loan for my credit rating. You might ask around to friends, because I found my broker through a friend, and she is really excellent.

She told me that our credit is usually not as bad as we might think. If you have the right person looking, they can usually find something.

Actually, depending on the need - there are often financing plans available. Say, if it were a vet bill - we've got a credit card specific to paying vets, no kidding. And at the worst part of our credit history, we were approved.

Check with the guy handing you that $6500 bill.
